Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage characterized by rapid physical, emotional, and social changes. During this period, individuals often engage in risk-taking behaviors, which may include substance use, unsafe sexual practices, reckless driving, and delinquent activities. These behaviors can have serious short- and long-term consequences on health, education, and overall well-being. The inclination toward risk is influenced by a combination of biological, psychological, familial, and environmental factors, including peer pressure, parental supervision, socio-economic status, and media exposure. Understanding the prevalence and predictors of such behaviors is essential for developing effective prevention and intervention strategies tailored to this vulnerable population.
