Management for Angle Closure Glaucoma: Review Article
Abstract
Angle closure glaucoma (ACG) is a potentially blinding ocular condition caused by obstruction of aqueous humor outflow due to closure of the anterior chamber angle. This obstruction leads to elevated intraocular pressure (IOP), optic nerve damage, and progressive visual field loss if not promptly treated. ACG can present as primary or secondary disease and may manifest acutely with severe symptoms or chronically with subtle progression. Early recognition and appropriate management are crucial, as timely intervention can prevent irreversible vision loss.
